Vital Edge herbal products are rather unique due to the unusual circumstances surrounding the formation of the company. Its founder Douglas Drew had suffered a catastrophic disease leaving him paralyzed from the neck down with little chance of ever regaining a normal life.
Having a background in science and an intense desire to not only improve his health but to help others find a way to avoid this type of disaster he started on a twenty year path to natural health. Today many years later Mr. Drew is blessed with vibrant health and his dream is to help others do the same.
One of his contacts the late DR. Lyle Harrison (known to many as the Einstein of herbal formulas) was a pioneer in the art of concentrated extracts. This method of precision crafted formulations was heretofore unheard of in the herbal industry in the early 1980’s. Dr. Harrison was definitely ahead of his time. This association led to the formulations later known as Vital Edge Products.
All the Vital Edge formulas contain not only concentrated extracts but numerous ingredients, known to improve blood quality and immune function. This resulted in a superior product which later came to be recognized worldwide.
Vital Edge products were first sold to health stores nationwide then later expanded to retail through the internet. International distribution came about via a company called Nutri Care America operating in the Philippines.
The products became well known and even had the BFDA (FDA of Philippines) approval number on the bottles.
The product was prescribed by over fifteen hundred doctors including the head of a large medical school in Manila. The success of the formulas on many health problems ie; chronic fatigue, hypoglycemia, diabetes, Epstein Barre, asthma , was so amazing that the Philippine government actually approved of a plan to purchase thousands of bottles and give them out free to the needy. The first time ever the Government chose a natural product over a drug.
Officials in Paraguay hearing of the success in the Philippines allowed for the approval of the sale of Vital Edge products under the name Bayflor Products. In Mexico the products were sold via MLM to many doctors in Mexico under the brand name NUTRA-EX.
